My bad breath dilemma: Lisa`s story

How do you know when you have bad breath? I must have been walking around for weeks with smelly breath but no one not even my husband would tell me, in fact it was my 5 year old daughter that put me out of my misery. "Mummy why is your mouth always smelly". Can you imagine how I felt? How could my husband, friends and family not tell me.

I went to see my dentist and she told me that I had a gum disease and that was what was causing my bad breath. I had my teeth cleaned and so a dental hygienist who showed me that as well as brushing my teeth I had to brush my gums downwards for my top gums and upwards on my bottom gums. I do this every day and never miss an appointment. But I am still paranoid of having bad breath and am constantly chewing gum. I know I can`t trust my family and friends but I can always trust my daughter who will always tell me the truth.

I would advice anyone with bad breath to visit their dentist, brush your gums, floss, chew gum, and brush twice a day.
