Weight Loss Tips
Before even thinking of going on a diet you have to be absolutely sure it is what you want. Write down 3 reasons why you want to lose weight. Try to be positive, I want to lose weight because I have put on a lot of weight, not I don`t want to be fat. Think positive and you will be positive and will have more chance of success.
Keep a food Journal. Before you start your diet keep a journal of all the food and drink you are eating over a few days. This can help you put your diet to plan.
Substitute foods instead of eliminating them. Cutting your favorite foods out of your diet won`t work instead try something that has less fat. Try out different reduced fat brands and items and who knows, you may find something that you like.
When are you most likely to over eat? Think about it – is it at home, at work, at night, during the day, weekends, when you are a lone or with certain people. Now try and change these habits.
Reduce your portion sizes. Most of the time we eat more then we actually need which means we are weighing more then we want. Try weighing your food, use a smaller plate, and this is a must eat slower.
Don`t skip breakfast. Come mid morning you will be hungry and what are you going to reach for? Yes biscuits, chocolate, chips something that is fast and easy. Eating breakfast will not only build your metabolism up but will give you the energy you need to exercise.
Drink plenty of water at least 8 glasses a day. Not only is water good for you on the inside it is really good for your skin.
Exercise for life. Exercise is a huge part in losing weight and don`t let anyone tell you different. Take regular exercise, swimming, jogging, yoga, aerobic, just do a couple of hours a week you will feel and see the notice in no time.
Most important believe in yourself. Stay positive, tell yourself that you can do it and you will achieve what ever you want.
