My raw food diet: Charlene`s story

Life was diet roller coaster ride, one after the other, up and down, off and on. I was desperate. I`d tried Atkins and nearly made myself ill, I tried the contraceptive pill and gained 8lbs in 2 weeks, calorie counting diets, I`d be here all day if I listed them all. I coudn`t take any more I was depressed.

I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to be fat for the rest of my life so I thought if I couldn`t lose it I was going to make sure that I didn`t get any bigger and joined a gym. After a few weeks of going on and off I got talking to a woman that was 45, 15 years older than me and she looked fabulous. I asked her what her secret was and was quite surprised by her answer. Eating raw food. She told me that she was once bigger than I was and that eating raw food, fruit and vegetables, nuts led to her shedding over 6 stone.

Cutting out meat and dairy products was the hardest and I failed many times in the first month but once I saw the weight shifting it gave me the motivation I needed to become a raw food lover for life. I have been eating raw food now for the past six months and I`ve lost 2 stone, got a new job and looking forward to the future. I would certainly recommend the raw food diet to anyone finding it hard to lose weight. It is hard and you will lapse but stick in and the end results will be worth while.
