I don`t want to be a single dad

My wife walked out on me and my 2 children 3 years ago. Since then I have been on many dates but none of them seem to go any where. My children are my life my daughter is 9 and my son is 14 and although they miss their mother they are supportive of me dating. My daughter even tried to fit me up with one of her friends mum which we both found very funny. We are now very good friends and help each other out with the kids so we can go out on dates or with our friends.

I have no problem attracting women in fact since I have become single I have had more dates then I had before I was married. The problem is once they find out that I am a single dad they run a mile. I was dating one woman for 4 weeks before I told her I was a single dad, she then made her excuses, "I`m not ready for commitment, I have to work etc.. "

I don`t want more children and I don`t want to put the kids in a situation with a step family. All I want is someone to spend my life with. I have many female friends with children, single and they don`t have any problems finding men, in fact I have just been to one of my friend`s wedding and she was a single mom.

I know a few men who have took on someone else`s kids but women seem to be reluctant to do the same. I wonder if their are any men that are having the same problem I am even thinking of running my own dating club for single men.
